Life as a Housewife

As a kid, I had always thought that ladies who stay at home have nothing else to do but to take care of the house... they were - to me - more or less like day watchman (or must I say watch ladies) in the house. All they had to do was cleaning the house, washing utensils and clothes and cooking.
But now, as I am sitting at home - for the first time ever in my life - alone, I realize that its not as easy as I used to think. It takes a lot more than that and the expectations that everyone has from you as a housewife.

You have to cook something new everyday... usual daal roti will not do now. House must be clean in every way... a single strend of hair on the floor is enough to create an issue. You can not say you are tiered at the end of the day and if you do, "you were at home all day, should have slept in the afternoon" is all you get to hear.

It is relaxing to stay at home, taking care of your house and getting loved by all... especially the "one and only one" but, how about the boredom you feel each day without going out of those 4 walls, a 1 door and ofcourse a couple of windows. As the clock stricks 5 in the evening, the boredom increases as the "Wait" gets impatient and to top it all, your phone will ring exactly at 5:30 and he'll say, "aaaa, listen I'll get late... will leave office by 7" and all your plans of snacks and tea are gone with the phone call.

Its not an easy task to be a housewife. Hats off to all the ladies at home with or without kids who effortlessly wait for their husbands to come back...
